AGE OF DRIVER
The driver must be at least 23 years old for all categories except for the categories V7 (Van 7 seats), V9 (Van 9 seats), and L (Luxury), for which the minimum age requirement is 25 years.
DRIVER’S LICENSE
The driver must hold a Greek driving license or a license from another EU member country or an international license with at least one year of issue prior to the rental date.
DRIVER’S LICENSE AND PASSPORT OR IDENTITY CARD
To start the rental, the driver (or drivers if more than one) must present their driving license and either their identity card or passport. If the driver does not present these essential documents, the rental cannot take place. The driving license, passport, or identity card must be the original (genuine). Faxes or photocopies are not accepted.
PAYMENT METHOD
For car rental, a debit/credit card is always required, even if the rental is paid in cash.
CAR RENTAL
The car rental is calculated on a 24-hour basis, and any additional delay will incur an extra day’s charge.
MODIFICATION AND CANCELLATION OF RESERVATION
Reservation changes can be made upon contact and will result in recalculating the price based on the available vehicles and current rates. In the case of cancellation, if done 7 days in advance, there is no charge. Otherwise, 10% of the total charge will be retained.
DELIVERY/PICK-UP OUTSIDE OFFICE HOURS
Our office hours are 08:00 – 20:00. In the case of vehicle delivery or pick-up outside office hours, there may be an additional charge.
EARLY RETURN
If the car is returned earlier than the reservation date, no refund will be provided.
TRANSPORT BY FERRY
Written approval from Rent it Papas is required for the transportation of the vehicle by ferry.
RENTAL OUTSIDE GREECE
Rental of the vehicle outside the borders of Greece is allowed only with written approval from Rent it Papas.
TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS
Fines and any other violations are the full and exclusive responsibility of the renter.
THEFT INSURANCE (TP) It is included in the rental cost. In the event of theft or fire, you must immediately call the police and report the incident, then submit a copy of the police report along with the rental contract and vehicle keys to the rental company. The insurance coverage does not cover partial theft or damage caused by attempted theft (the deductible applies). The Theft Insurance coverage does not extend beyond the agreed rental period with the local rental company. For more details regarding this coverage, please contact the rental station where you will pick up your vehicle.
Theft Insurance It covers the renter for total and partial loss of the car. However, the renter must pay the responsibility amount for damages up to 500€ for categories A, B, 700€ for categories C, CD, FS, FC, 900€ for categories F, D, SW, and 1300€ for the remaining cars in categories L, V7, V9.
What is not covered: Theft of all or part of the vehicle caused by negligence on the renter’s part (e.g., leaving the key in the ignition or inside the car, or leaving the car unlocked).
Cost: If not included in the price, it is daily 4€ for categories A, B, 5€ for categories C, CD, FS, FC, 8€ for categories F, D, SW, and 10€ for the remaining cars in categories L, V7, V9.
COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE (CDW or LDW)
What is covered? In the event of damage to the Rent it Papas vehicle, the renter is covered for the cost of repairs. However, the renter must pay the responsibility amount for damages up to 500€ for categories A, B, 700€ for categories C, CD, FS, FC, 900€ for categories F, D, SW, and 1300€ for the remaining cars in categories L, V7, V9, regardless of the renter’s fault. The responsibility amount includes repair costs, storage, and loss of use of the vehicle. When Rent it Papas is compensated for the damage, the corresponding amount will be returned to the renter.
What is not covered? Damages caused by intent or negligence. Damages caused by the use of incorrect fuel. Damages resulting from breach of contract terms. Damages caused to the underside, roof, antenna, mirrors, and tires of the vehicle or during transportation of the Rent it Papas vehicle on a ship.
Cost: If not included in the price, it is daily 7€ for categories A, B, 7€ for categories C, CD, FS, FC, 12€ for categories F, D, SW, and 15€ for the remaining cars in categories L, V7, V9.
FUEL
Fuel costs are the exclusive responsibility of the renter. The renter is required to return the vehicle with the same fuel level as when it was picked up. Otherwise, the renter will be charged for the consumed fuel. The renter must follow the manufacturer’s fuel specifications for the vehicle rented and refuel with the required fuel type.
ROAD ASSISTANCE
Free 24-hour roadside assistance throughout Greece (except for a few islands).
DEPOSIT – EXCESS
The deposit is 500€ for categories A, B, 700€ for categories C, CD, FS, FC, 900€ for categories F, D, SW, and 1300€ for the remaining cars in categories L, V7, V9.
DELIVERY – COLLECTION
Delivery and collection are only available at our station during office hours. Outside office hours and on holidays, delivery and collection are possible only upon agreement and with an additional charge that the renter will bear. Pick-ups outside our station are possible upon agreement and with an additional charge for the renter.
TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS – FINES
All fines and administrative penalties are the renter’s responsibility.
KILOMETERS
For all categories, 150 kilometers per day apply for rentals up to 3 days. For rentals of 4 days or more, unlimited kilometers are included for free.
